Huni Kuin Xipão Hapé is a traditional medicine prepared by the Huni Kuin people of Jordão river, in Acre, using sacred plants respectfully harvested from the depths of the Amazon rainforest.
More than just a hapé, Huni Kuin Xipão is an invitation to reconnect with something ancient and alive. In each dose, you can feel the distinct aroma of Xipão, the grounding strength of cacao, and the presence of the hands that prepared it, transporting you to the heart of Amazonian tradition.
• Energetic Profile:
This unique blend combines the rare Xipão herb with ashes from the native Amazonian cacao tree (Theobroma cacao), resulting in a hapé that balances softness and strength, bringing grounding, calmness, and a subtle connection to the deeper layers of the self.
• Traditional Wisdom:
Traditionally, Xipão is used to help treat flu, fever, and respiratory difficulties. It is also known for its calming properties, helping to balance the nervous system and offering a clear, tranquil state of mind. Within the Indigenous context, it is considered a restorative for both the body and the energetic field.
This hapé is handcrafted by the Huni Kuin community led by Chief Siã, one of the most respected Indigenous leaders in Acre. The recipe comes directly from their forest territory and reflects their deep knowledge of plants and the spirituality of the rainforest.
• The blend contains:
Xipão is a plant that grows as a parasite on palm trees and is extremely difficult to find. Its aroma is gentle, distinctive, and unmistakable, marking its unique presence among medicinal herbs. Used exclusively by the Huni Kuin in their hapé preparations, this plant holds significant medicinal and spiritual value.
The ashes in this hapé come from native cacao trees that grow near rivers and in the humid soils of the Amazon. Unlike commercial hybrid cacao, this is wild, regional cacao, cultivated and respected by forest communities.
Cacao ashes give the hapé a slightly reddish tone and bring a warm, stabilizing energy. While cacao, when consumed internally, is known for supporting cardiovascular health, in hapé its role is primarily energetic—anchoring the effects of other plants, like Xipão, and enhancing their balance.

Its application involves the use of tools to blow the hapé into the nostrils.
In the tribes, its use is always associated with moments of prayer and meditation, facilitating a connection with Mother Nature.
Traditional peoples use this healing hapé to clear the mind, purify thoughts, bring clarity, achieve spiritual alignment, and cleanse negativity and heaviness from the body, mind, and soul. Indigenous tribes have used this medicine for thousands of years to heal their communities and connect with the Creator.
The preparation of this medicinal plant is a labor-intensive process that takes days to complete and is conducted ceremonially. It involves various healing Amazonian medicinal plants, leaves, trees, and seeds from native lands.
